Recommendations for a Auto Gps Navigation?
I'm looking for recommedations of Gps Units to get for my BF for his bday coming up. I'm quite tech savvy (network engineer) so I understand how they work, the software, etc. I've looked at Garmin, TomTom, and Magellan.
I'd like one that comes with Maps of the U.S. & Canada (we live in Michigan, where I can go north, south and east to get to Canada).
I'm hoping to spend under $200, but will likely be ordering from http://newegg.com or http://tigerdirect.com rather than retail unless some national retailer has a smokin hot deal

I'm looking for a portable one since he has more than one vehicle.
He had one previously but it was kidnapped (stolen).
i recommend you get a garmin i suck at direction so since i started driving i have always had a gps my first a magellan but i would always have to wait for it to find service then i bout a Tom Tom and same thing but both had plenty of Points of interest and things like that but since i got my garmin about a year ago i hvnt had any problems also there is no lag between you moving and it showing you moving on the gps my other 2 did =/ also tom tom would get me lost because if i was in a lane 2 close to a exit or entrance to a freeway it would get confused on where i was and change my route it would think i was in streets below freeway 2 i had never had that problem before and it was really frustrating
