1) to monitor the amount of oxygen being put out of the motor. more oxygen means the engine is running to lean. too little and it's too rich
2) i dont know this one
3) i- misfiring is monitored so that a technician can diagonose the possible problem.
ii - the crank sensor monitors where the crankshaft is in rotation. if it is slowing down, it means there is a misfire
4) A/C and climate control are synonyms
5) receiver dryer is a canister that allows the refrigerant that is a gas to turn into a liquid so it can be put into the evaporator by the TXV (thermal expansion valve). it is also a storage tank for excess refrigerant. the drier section collects small droplets of moisture that may have entered the system. the pick up ensures a vapor free stream of liquid into the TXV
