When leasing a car / vehicle can I choose the leasing company or does the dealership choose?
When leasing a car, can I choose the leasing company or does the dealership require that I use their leasing company?
I know that leasing means you pay for the depreciation of the car along with dealership profits, but why can't you choose your own leasing company? I'm asking because my friend's mother got her bank to be the leasing company.
N, the dealer sets the final price, right? So he/she'd still make a profit, right?
The dealer would allow you to finance it however you want so if you can find a leasing company on your own, it shouldnt matter to the dealer, they still get the profit on the car.
That said, if the dealer wants to, he can usually beat any deal you can come up with on your own and still make a few bucks on the financing.
