how to fix my scientific atlanta explorer 3100 cable box?
my cable box worked perfect before around 3pm today and like it will shut off completely and then so many things with go on were usually the channel area is. and once all thats gone and the box will turn on it takes me to a blue screen that says EXPLORER and Digital Home Communications Terminal. then it will go back onto tv but all the shows are like a fuzzy picture. then in either 10-30 minutes or a few hours the cable box shuts off and does the exact same thing
It sounds like there is a hardware failure or a provisioning issue. With either problem, you need to call your cable company. They should be able to fix the issue by sending a "signal" to your cable box, it that doesn't work, they will simply replace it.
