Garmin eMap Handheld Gps Receiver is it good for geocaching?
I it a good gps for geocaching or not? What are your thoughts?

Looks like it could possibly be used but it has a number of strikes against it. First the listed accuracy in Garmin's specs is only about 50' - not good. Second, it appears to be a serial interface with the computer, so unless you have an older computer with a serial port, you will not be able to directly transfer waypoints. Of course there are work arounds for the serial port issue, but why bother. Finally, and as a new cacher it might not matter, it will only accept 500 waypoints. I assume you either have this model GPS or can get one at an extremely attractive price. If I didn't already have an eMap, I'd probably spend the extra bucks for something like a low end eTrex or similar GPS.
