What's the comparison between a PDA and laptop?
What device is more suitable for office workers, builders etc that are offsite and need to contact others either in emergencies or in general?
Could a small report be done to inform me on the advantages and disadvantages of each mobile communication in this situation?

Comparison...
PDA... you hold it in your hand. You typically operate it via Touch Screen or stylus. Small screen. Abbreviated version of Windows or other OS.
Laptop. you use it on a table, or your lap. you typically operate it with a keyboard and touchpad mouse. Larger screen Full Operating system installation.
What device is more suitable for office workers, etc? A phone. Neither of these devices. In fact, a Blackberry device would be ideal. it would include applications, a keyboard, and a telephone. It would be virtually impossible to contact someone in an emergency via a laptop. And my Dell Axim PDA only offers wireless when I have the flash wireless card installed.
I'm sure a small report could be done to inform you of the advantages and disadvantages of each and every mobile communication device in these and other situations. I'm sure that such a report would not cost more than a few hours of research and labor. Less than $100 in any case.
