How do I get Tomtom Traffic?
I have the 350 XL (USA). Supposed to come with lifetime traffic. Where is it? There's no icon anywhere. Their website is maddeningly useless. Can anyone tell me how to get this thing working, with the supposedly free lifetime service?
Interesting but the link is for ONE and GO units not the XL 350, which is billed as coming with free, that's FREE lifetime traffic. Online searches find the same question with absolutely no answers. Does anyone actually use this thing?
there is no icon.
what you got is a built in antenna to receive (Radio Data Signal) TMC informations.
your TomTom will get those automatically, provided it can find a radio station which emits it.
this will be the same information but usually more complete & accurate then what the radio station announces every now & then on the air. the RDS-TMC information is updated about every 15 min.
the service comes free if you have a device like yours which can receive it.
if it can't find a station w/ RDS-TMC, then it will not be able to give any traffic related advice.
