Why would AT&T, Radio Shack, and some other companies make Trimline phones with wall mounts on the back?
Go FIGURE!!! I needed a new Trimline and found the model has changed, so checked Radio Shack and a couple other places with other brands. Nice little wall phone except once you mount it, the handset will fall out of the cradle onto your baby's head!!!! FOR STUPID!!!! What happened to the older, heavier models that would actually stay hung up when the cradle is mounted to the wall?
It's a trick. Did you look under the number plate for a screw that retains the tab that reverses the cradle hanger? Some of them just pull out and rotate 180 degrees, but somehow, there's a retainer for the handset.
That being said, some of them are not as sturdy as others
