should i get a garmin, Tom Tom, or a navigation system and if so what kind all for my car?
well if you have trouble navigating they are useful, but they are pretty pricey so if you know an area well enough it might not even be worth it. Of all the gps systems, Garmin does have a reputation for being more efficient, up to date and innovative, however that does come at a price because it is considerably pricier than some other models. The tom-tom is cheaper and much more basic... I hope that helps 
Remember any navigation system is well worth its money if you will be using it often
