Why does a male cat form a 'pouch' of skin dangilng from his stomach?
I adopted a silver male ocicat from a rescue organization months ago when he was still about 2 months old. Neutered him, and then he began to form a pouch of skin about an inch across and dangles about two inches at his belly closer to his hindquarters. He has never been over weight and lost the weight, he's always been a slender very healthy cat. The only time I've seen this with cats before is when they lost a lot of weight. Just attempting to find a reason for why its formed on him.
I never knew before I asked my vet when I went to get the boosters done.
That's like a camel's hump. They store extra fat there. My male has the same thing. He only got his after he got fixed though, I think it's cute. He's only 10 months old, it's not a age thing or a weight thing.
