Any ideas on what could be wrong with my ipod touch LCD?

the LCD wont budge when i turn it on and try to unlock it. i mean, everything looks fine, no cracks, no color distortion, although the protective screen is cracked, but i took it off and the LCD still wont let me unlock it.

Any ideas on how to fix it? btw, i know i voided my warranty

I'm not 100% what it's called but the simplest and probably easiest fix is a new screen
you'll need to send off for new screen or youtube how to remove screen yourself on the _gen ipod you have
(the same thing happened to my friends iphone apple fixed fo $70)
