How do I fix the touch screen buttons on my sony ericsson k850i?

My broken k850i has just had a replacement Lcd Screen put in but when I turned the phone back on it appears that the touch screen buttons do not work.

Is this an issue with the lcd not being touch compatible or is it something else?
